Artemis is one of the most respected deities. She is goddess of the hunt, wild animals, childbirth and virginity. She was protector of the young children and was known to bring and relieve disease in women. Daughter of Zeus, she is one of the most complex characters. Many were attracted to her, but only Orion, her hunting companion won her heart.
